1) Eat like a pig to keep warm; coz heh you need the calories don't you. So you can enjoy all that wonderful pasta, cream cakes, choccie and everything else that you know you shouldn't have, coz you need to keep warm.

2) Ditto alcohol. When your tootsies are unthawing by the fire, you know you're just dying to see what you're Sloe Gin you've put aside for the Boxing Day meet tastes like ....... go on, have a sip just to taste it, you know you want to.

3) Bring in all your numnah's and bung them in the washing machine; it'll probably jam the damn thing up with hairs and well and truly bvgg@r it, but a good idea nonetheless.

4) Sort through your horsey pics/showing pics/whatever, and put them into some kind of order. If you've got a spare photograph album in the house (or can get out to buy one) then put them into the album as a nice keepsake for the future.

5) Write down all your horsey goals for 2011, THEN beside each one decide you you might best achieve that goal.

6) Following (5) above, ring/ask around and get the name of a trainer/instructor to help you.

7) Go put the kettle on now, and have a nice naughty biscuit, or even better, a chocolate. You know you want to .......

8) Sort out your horsey first aid kit & make a list of what you need to replenish, if you can't get to the shop to buy it. Ditto human first aid kit (unless you share!!!!).

9) Bring tack into house & give it a good clean! Ditto your riding boots.

10) Sit down, pour yourself (another) drop of that Sloe Gin you tried and enjoyed, and enjoy!!!!

Judging by the number of people I know with tiny babies at the moment I can guess what the number one activity for "snow days" was during the cold snap in late 2009 early 2010.........

And you missed it off your list OP!
