100g in 10-15 degree weather ?

Is it appropriate to use a 100g rug on my tb who’s a hard doer in 10-15degrees still could do with a bit of weight and we have wind and heavy rain atm a lot or will this be too much he’s not really a hardy Type

yep they are all different so you need to know your horse.
My weedy TB wore 150g overnight as it chucked down and the fields are exposed. I'm feeding him up a bit so don't want him using up calories to keep warm. That was fine until the wind dropped and then I took it off again (stabled by day)
My welsh is on small pen turnout without shelter so she had 0g, but I had to take it off as soon as the rain stopped as she was getting warm.

I have 3 others out with nothing on but they are all fat and hairy!

if i think they are chilly i use 50 or 100 gramme but i find humidity is a factor in deciding as it is still quite warm really.

i find i have to be prepared to keep checking they are not too warm, but rather they are a bit warm than very wet
