As Mr B is off games ATM, I've been looking through my copy of book again and just wanted to recommend it to anyone who has not come across it. It's full of really good ideas for horses and riders of all levels and I love the way it's indexed so you can for eg look for exercises for a lazy horse or one that rushes etc. Amazon has second copies for sale very cheaply.

I have just ordered on Amazon. I have been riding a lovely new Horse who I am currently trying to think what exercises to do with her, she tends to set her neck straight and has some issues getting the correct bend. I am hoping this book will inspire me to do some new exercises :)

Chapter 2 is called Supple and straight!

Perfect! She is as good as gold, but is like a wooden board for a good 25 minutes. I would love to do some exercises to help her supple and and soften. We run through a couple of exercises during warm up which has helped an enormous amount. But I would love to find some more to do with her.

Would also like to work on impulsion as she is a bit on the lazy side at times and I have to really get after her. Once she is forward and warmed up well, she drops into the most lovely outline and I feel like we are floating.

Our canter work is pretty poor (although I think that is down to me rather than her) so lots to work on!
