10months old and broken to drive..........

I know of one who was shod and driving at 6 months. My friend couldn't bare it, so bought him as a yearling. He never recovered & she found him dead in his stable when he was about 2. He was just completely broken - mentally & physically. Scummy people :-(

I saw this advert and thought it must be a joke! Surely noone thinks this is ok?!? Why is she not being allowed to be a baby and grow.....:mad::confused: I have a rising 2yr old coloured colt(will be cut) and other than handling i leave him to enjoy being a baby, after all i wouldnt send my 2yr old son to work! :)
 
i've seen about half a dozen ads like that on donedeal.ie saying driving 26-28 miles an hour.
i am disgusted with them, its just cruel.

Thats so sad. Why are people in such a rush to get these babies 'broken'!!
Ill never forget seeing an 18 month old colt...which was under-developed to start with, being driven and pulling a huge cart with a big obese man on it!! Their reason for doing this was to 'break it' before he got colty :eek:
To me...if you cant handle a 12.2 dope on a rope colt, and feel the need to break it while its a baby, then maybe you shouldnt own it! Said colt (still weedy) now spends his days couped up in a very small woodchip paddock, on his own and hasnt been on a cart since, so what was the point! :mad:
 
why can't the RSPCA or one of the other charities do anything about it under their new rules?
I once witnessed a horse being driven in a sulky at a stonking trot on a tarmac busy road with a foal/youngster tied to the outside shaft. Actually tied by it's head and round it's girth to the other horse so it was forced to trot really hard :eek: I was on my way to work and late and couldn't do anything about it at the time but I still am shocked when I think about that sight. We were in an area near to a travellers permanent site and they are regularly seen driving thier trotters at speed on the busy tarmac roads with their heads tied back with those special reins, can't think what they're called.

Good God where do these people come from!!!! That poor baby, if i had space id pick her up. Id like to shoot the tit that thinks its ok to back an 8month old foal, sickening.....
 
It's just awful I can't think about it if that filly was nearer I don't think I would would be able to hold my self back .the thing is the law will never be able to micromanage idiots it's just awful.
