My foal is now 10weeks old and i was just wondering what are you doing with yours?

She's used to headcollar and lead, she has met doggies, lots of other 'big' horses, picks all 4 feet up

But is there anything else i should be doing with her?

I dont want to rush her but i assume her meeting as much as possible will help in the future?

Thanks
Post in breeding aswell

I'd leave her be with mum, plenty of time to get her used to handling etc and sounds like you have done more than enough to enable you to handle her if she needed the vet out. I would let her be and allow her to just be a foal for now!

For foal and mum advice you could also head over to Breeding on here - some mega experienced and friendly peeps on there who I'm sure will be able to offer advice and help.

Let mum be mum and baby be baby, yes its good she accepts headcollar and feet being touched but just let them be a family for a while. If you bring mum in for a groom just let foaly mooch about and explore in your sight. Show foaly a brush etc but don't get too set on having a really well behaved foal.
