12.2 pony for a tiny tot ?

Does this sound ok ? we have been offered the use of a young-ish ( not < 6 ) 12.2 for our not quite 2 year old to potter about on. we always are 2:1 one leading the other holding firm to her t-shirt while she learns to sit and balance a bit. She adores it and cries to get on. I think he may a bit sharp at times. I was envisioning an aged shetland /10hh pony but does this sound reasonable ?? it seems to be working very well but just feels a bit odd to me !

Doesn't sound suitable to me if its at all sharp-not for such a tiny child, sorry.

Size wouldn't bother me if the temperament was right but 'a bit sharp' is not suitable for a tiny tots pony.
