A friend asked me to help a friend of theirs find a good active home for a lovely young GSD male. He was imported from Czech as a pup and has been raised on a farm with sheep, cattle, horses, lots and lots of collies and cats. He went to the police for a trial but unfortunately has been returned as he isn't confident enough. That said, he is only 12 months old and they only kept him a week so in my opinion not enough time to really let a young dog adjust and settle prior to starting an initial course. Anyhow, I said I would help try to find him a home worthy of him. He is a very handsome dog and very social. He has some basic training and, as I say, good with dogs, cats, and various livestock. As he is working lines he does need an active, experienced home ideally. Someone who enjoys training, walking and who is looking for a loyal friend. He is likely to be good at guarding property so would make a good watch dog, as long as he has outlets for his drive and energy. I have photos/videos and pedigree details. If anyone is serious please PM me.
I am currently sitting on my hands to stop myself texting her to say I will have him.

I'd be interested... I've had 7 GSD's going back to 1993... have 3 acres with chickens and horses in rural Somerset... currently have 2 gsd'S....a 14 year old girl and a very energetic 2 year old girl... who would really benefit from an active friend....

No, we need to be sensible, we can't take on an adult male dog just now, if things were different then yes, we however still have a very grumpy 16yr old male collie who does like to be top dog, to be fair in the current pack he is still the top male dog, it really wouldn't be fair to rock his world, I have no doubt it would be the old boy causing any trouble as he still behaves like he can control any new dogs, I don't think the old boy has long and he deserves to enjoy what he has left.
