Is this a contradiction in terms? Since she arrived a fortnight ago she has been nothing but adorable, in every way. A few accidents here and there (and she Hates travelling) but overall, she is just amazing.
But, I am offering her three meals a day and she barely picks at any of them. I cant leave them down as the terriers will wolf anything in sight.
I offer her Arden Grange, plus various raw meats over the week, including tripe, bunnies, etc. The only thing she vaguely likes is tuna, but even then this is temperamental.
She is definately underweight, and extremely gangly, but not sure if that is just her growing at a rate of knots. Her hips and ribs jut out. Also, she has poor breath, its almost like tyre rubber (sorry tmi). She isnt dehydrated and doesnt drink excessively, but she does seem relatively dull. Could be just her still adjusting?
All my dogs are wormed responsibly, and her jabs have been done - any ideas?

To be safe should I pop her down to the vet to be checked over? Its nearly 3 weeks since she was last seen and think maybe best to be sure or am I being overreacting mummy.

I always think the best description of a whippet puppy is 'unlikely' :D as they always look really gangly and odd, nothing like the sleek beautiful dogs they will turn into :D

My first whippet was a fussy eater and I have photos of her looking really poor :o but she picked up with time and soon started eating properly. I would take yours to the vets just to be on the safe side TBH, but dont be persuaded to buy lots of very expensive food for her, what you are feeding her sounds absolutely fine :):)

Oh and please can we have some pictures, I adore whippet puppies :D:D

congratulations on getting a new whippy pup (see that you post on k9)..ve just got a new whippy 9 weeks old and only had her a week

did the breeder give you any of the food that shes been feeding, and maybe get in contact with the breeder to ask about the feedin and can advice you
also i would try not to offer too many different kind of feed as this can upset their little tummys, also maybe a good idea to make a trip to the vet to just check her over
you could try goats milk,scamble egg,fresh mince(turkey/beef)

do you feed her alongside your other dogs as ths may incourage her to feed

my little pup was abit unsure to start off with but now eats four little meals with my other whippy
good luck

Photos please :)

As others have said, best to get the vet to check her just in case. Although some puppies just don't eat 3 meals. One of my Iggies as a puppy would never eat 3 meals, especially breakfast, and even now neither of them eat much first thing in the morning.
