Poor little girl, hope she gets better soon,i personally think its madness that BE allows kids as young as 12 Year old to compete. A horse Trial is completely different to Pony Club

not really, as Pony Club ODE'S are very often run over BE courses.
I did a pony club open when i was 12 over a course that someone who did BE pony trials at the time said was big and technical like BE.
so actually pony club ODE's can prepare you very well for BE. especailly when its only intro.
The fence did look simple however it wasn't to the floor, it had a gap underneath it ever so slightly horse got too deep skinned his leg right down to the bone, ended up in the vets box for an hour and a half, 4 stitches, 30 staples and £250 later we were allowed to take him home.
He's on 10 days box rest but has to have up t0 10 weeks off, couldn't take a pic of wound as it was gross, but you get the picture

Why is it madness?? Surely this sort of accident could have happened to anyone else, it just so happens it was a teenager. I am only 12 but I still managed to get round clear (at an intro). Madness?? Why??

It's not really, I did a pony club ODE not so long ago at Tweseldown, it was exactly the same course as the BE intro/pre-novice.
Get Well Soon! We all are hoping for a speedy recovery
