i am a 12 year old ambitious rider looking for a 148cm bsja ride, i have a ja myself and am looking for another pony to ride as in the current climate my parents cant afford another pony

any offers will be seriously considered:)

I'm afraid you will probably get exactly the same replies as when you posted the same thing a couple of weeks ago :o

It may be worth advertising locally (as you are not actually allowed to advertise on here) to see if anyone is looking for a rider. I think you would be very, very lucky to be offered a decent jumping pony (though it's not completely impossible) but you can gain valuable experience from each and every horse you ride :) So it could be a youngster, or a schoolmaster, or even a very 'ordinary' horse or pony, which may not get you where you want to be short term but if you are serious about competing it will almost certainly help you in the future! Helping out at good yards will be of benefit, even if you are not riding.

When you are competing your own pony make sure you come across as a professional. If you have a mature attitude and your pony is immaculately turned out you may catch the eye of the right person at the right time :)

Take every training opportunity you can, BS run a junior academy programme, would that be something that you could do?

At 12 you still have a few years left in ponies so hopefully if you put the effort in you will be rewarded. Good luck :)

thank you very much, wa shoping no one reconised it was the same!
anyway yes that sounds very good and yeah i already do the junior academy an dhave a junior academy trainer and do the teams for them, just trying to see the bigger picture thank you very much for putting in the time, effort and thought to writing that post, will take everything on board and in to practice thank you:):D

dont all of us juniors want to be offered the ride on a decent 148 ? i certainly wouldnt mind and im pretty sure most others wouldnt youve got a lot of riders to compete with so if i were you just accept any ride you get offered then from riding lots of other peoples ponies word will soon get out if you're any good :D

Are any of you two in the Midlands? I have a rising 5yo 14.2 pony who has an amazing jump. Very very scopey, will def do well BS. But obviously being 4 needs bringing on jumping. I would only be looking for someone to come and ride her once maybe twice per week and then at shows as she already has a regular adult rider who does BD on her, so well schooled ;) but would love a junior rider to BS her. PM me if interested :)

Where are you based? What experience do you have? I know of a couple of very nice ponies for loan from a good friend of mine, her goddaughter is just coming off ponies this year and she doesnt want to sell them. One is a very very talented youngster jumping fox, qual Blue Chip and Newc for next year, jumped in Newc and Fox Masters this year at Scope etc and the other is an old JA schoolmaster who jumped in the SHowjumper this year at HOYS. PM me your details and i will pass them on to her :)

Good luck in finding a pony - I know there is a good little BS jockey in my area but she gets ponies thrown at her (so to speak) because she has a good reputation so she gets a lot through word of mouth

I've got a 148 ja to sell at the moment. Cheap as he's 17yrs and a but rusty but sound and jumped big tracks. £1600 if anyone is looking! Fit, reg and ready to go!

Thank you for everyone's offers and reply's but as I posted this a while ago I'm not looking anymore, but good luck to everyone trying to sell or find someone thank you:)
