Quick question about 15.2hhs! Will be owning my first one soon and my previous mare was 16.1hh and wore 6'9 rugs. My new gelding wears 6'3 rugs which are proving difficult to find as that size seems popular! Does your 15.2hhs wear full size or cob size tack etc? I'm not sure whether all my full size bridles, saddle cloths, boots etc will fit him.

Somehow i'm doubting he'd fit 6'9 rugs either so will have to try selling all them! Rugs are the things I hoard :(

I have a tb 15.2, he needs cob size bridles etc, and is a 6 foot in rugs.

I have a 15.2 TB. He wears cob sized headcollar / bridle, and is 6 ft in rugs - just! A 6ft 3 would be on the big size for him. He is medium weight.

My rather rotund 15'2 wears 6'6 rugs and a full size bridle. I kept my 6' rugs from previous horse who was 15 h but had to replace them all when this chap came along.

my 15.1hh wears 6ft9 rugs and a mix between a cob and full size bridle.

my 15.2hh wears 6ft6 rugs and the same bridle one hole higher on the cheek pieces and a few holes tighter round the nose.

cob size headcollars just fit but full size better.

both wear cob size brushing boots.

My 15.1 wears 6'6" rugs - but only Rambo Exels fit (and then they're tight on the shoulder)

He has full size bridles etc but they have plenty of adjustment.

My 15.2hh mare wore a full sized bridle and 6'6 rugs. My 15.1 coblet wears a cob sized bridle and 6'3 rugs.

my 15.2 mare has cob bridles 6.3 rugs, my 16.3 5yr old has cob/full bridles and 6.3 /6.6 rugs large hind boots medium front boots, but expect her to fill out for another year, geat that she can fit in older horses tack, even got her saddle, till he finishes growing.

I've got a MW full up 15hh (sold to me as 15.2hh ..) who is in 6'3" rug and falls between a cob and full headcollar/bridle.

What 6'9" rugs do you have? Would be interested in any horsewear turnouts as my youngsters arse is hanging out the back of his 6'6"

Just to add confusion, my 14.2hh NF is in cob bridle, headcollar etc and takes a 6ft rug  :D.

Depends on the build of the horse I think as I know 15.2hh's who'll take a 5'9 rug.

my 15.2 took a 6.6" and an extra full bridle and my new horse who is 16hh and a lighter build takes 6.3" (although the 6.6" rugs will most def be used on her as not buying new ones) and a cob bridle!!!!! So selling all my extra full bridles now!!!! All about the build really

My 15'2 Standardbred takes a 6'3 rug, cob size bridle and headcollar. Full size numnah, medium brushing boots and full size travelling boots (although they are a tiny bit on the large size!) :D

Hi, my 15.2 in my pic, wears a 6'6 and has a cob size bridal but with an extra full browband, he has a big head! lol
He also has cob size numnahs and boots.

Firstly congrats on your new horse.

My 15.3 Middleweight TB is in a Full size bridle but cob martingale.

He is also in 6'3 rugs - and yes they are always the size that goes first in sales - but conversely always a size that a store will stock for the rest of the time. So swings and roundabouts

My 15.2hh depends on the make of rug - she's a cob size bridle and headcollar, pony sized fly masks, and rugs are:
Weatherbeeta - 6'
Rambo - 6'3 to 6'6
everything else is just trial and error depending on the brand, but generally she's a 6'3

If you do decide to sell your girl's rugs, would you PM me? They would have a fab home here with my boys!
x

If you have 6'9 rugs, I'd be interested in buying them for Ted as he is 6'9 in rugs. pm me if you want to and let me know which ones you have for sale and prices. etc x
