15.2hh owners

Lol! I had a "tall" 16.1hh who was 6ft-6'3 in rugs, and a cob/full sized bridle, M saddle etc.

I've now got a 15.3 whose 6'6 in rugs, full sized bridle and MW in saddle. Really depends on the individual! :)

My 15.2 Welsh X Arab is bang in the middle of a full and cob. Typical. Some cobs are too small and some fulls are too big. He takes a 6'3 rug.

My 15hh went from 5'6 to 6'3 in 2 years (aged 5-7). 6'3 is the most popular size according to my mate who works at Patchett's tack shop. I have found tons new on ebay. Now's a good time to get h/w rugs on sale.

He's full for bridles but sometimes needs an extra hole punched in at the top. Cob size nosebands don't even meet, even tho he is (obviously) a cob.

my 15.3 ish takes a 6'9 or a 6'6, bridle is a mixture! Cheek pieces cob, noseband, headpiece and browband are full. Full martingale too

OMG, just re-measured him as a friend said he looked bigger and either he was on his tip toes or has grown another inch! The swine! If he outgrows his rugs again, I'm going to be very unhappy (and poor) come the winter!

Mine is 15.2hh, a medium weight young man who takes 6ft rug, cob or full size head gear and cob boots. Depending which rugs he has I could do with an inch or so bigger but the increments are in 3s so it's toss of the coin sometimes!!
