15.3hh 4yo KWPN bay project mare Zacharov x Holland >>>>>>>

Maybe its sales livery? So its not actually the studs horse but selling it on behalf of the person who imported her and could not handle her. Just a thought :)

She is very pretty, and if its healthy will be a bargain for someone with the ability.

The stud sold her initially to the person who can't handle her.

I also didn't think she looked quite right. I found myself watching her shoulders while she was trotting and found it just a bit off, almost jerky. It could be her age, and what do I know, she'd be far too much for me even if she was a complete angel!

Is cod routinely scanned for as part of a vetting? That's the bell that is ringing for me You see loads of adverts 5 stage getting with X-rays on bigger money horses but I've never seen any mention of 'oh we threw in ocd for good measure'. But am noooooo expert. Sounds like they started her she threw wobblys and they investigated

is normal for ten grand and above horses from the continent to be OCD xrayed, but certainly not for five grand ones. I agree, it's very odd and does not stack up.

I guess there is something up too. I would be amazed if she hadn't been started already and that went badly. It sounds like her being opinionated in the ground could also be the case ridden. It is quite normal for well bred fillies to be bred from in their 3rd year before progressing to ridden work, so if they live up to their ridden expectation they already have one off spring. So for this not to have been considered here would also indicate to me that something was amiss to lose so much on the mare.

Some googling shows the seller has previously advertised a 4 year old mare for £3,500 and shortly after for £1,250. Quite a price drop! Different horse though. Doesn't mean anything; I just thought it was curious :)

It is very bizarre. I didn't like the look of the shoulder movement, particularly on the right rein. However, it may just be that she's overhorsed and overstocked. Who knows :)

People can't win when they r advertising can they? To me the advert says 'I can't handle this horse but if you can you can get a bargain... 'There are plenty of pros out there who make a lot of money on this kind of horse... Of course there is an issue people don't advertise a horse that looks like that for less money than they paid for it unless there is an issue but I know at least 3 pros that are now riding these 'nutters' at top level despote the fact that most of them are still horrible to handle on the floor.... How r in a normal amateur home you wouldn't or couldn't put up with their behaviour.

Well it's a problem isn't it? Unfortunately, for every ad where this is the whole story, there's another written the same which should have said 'we tried to back her but she turned herself inside out, so we x rayed every inch of her and found her totally clear of OCD but with terrible kissing spines. She's not worth us operating on, so we want to dump her on someone else, and we really don't care if that person breaks their neck'.

The trouble is, we can't tell the difference. Though I do feel sorry for the seller if this is one genuine.

i know of the stud and have only heard good things.............if they originally sold her, perhaps the original buyer has instructed them to re-sell but get rid asap to avoid sales livery mounting up?
