how much would you pay for a lovely welshy gelding 15years 14.2hh bd points and £200 bsja nice to handle in stable catch hack ect. please x
 
any one???? i have found a lovely pony but the people are asking a lot of money for it in my humble opinion -so i just thought id ask what you thought was a reasonalbe price.
 
Very hard to price, depends on how much you like him, i have a similar one that i wouldn't swap for the world, so i have no idea how much in £'s. Sorry, this has kinda turned into a pointless post, but the good ones can be worth their weight in gold!
 
i bought my 15.1hh Welsh D at the age of 16 with no affiliated experience, but been to RC Nationals at dressage and done some unaffiliated stuff, pony club etc. He'd also managed to run out and break his owner's neck though so i reckon i got him at bargain price coz he also weaves, rears, barges, wont be caught, hates the vet etc etc. Anything most Welshies will try if allowed to. I paid £1700 including 2 saddles, bridles, full rug collection etc etc. He went on to get 81 BD points, win over £200 in dressage, go to the regionals every year, come 4th at the Area Festival Finals and bring home rossies every weekend in whatever we did. I reckon I got a huge bargain. He's 21 now and retired due to injury, but dont regret anything!

I was wondering what you were up to. Hope everything went ok when the owner collected her mare.
Sorry I'm really no good on prices - everything seems overpriced to me! Given his age I'd have thought £1,500 - £2,000 but I guess with his size and experience he'd appeal to competitive teenagers which might push the price up.
Is he way over what you think he's worth? If he does everything you want you might decide he's worth it. When I bought my horse the seller and I got to a price £250 above my budget but I paid it because I knew the horses history and could easily spend that on petrol going to look at unsuitable horses.
Are you going to try him? Good luck if you do.

my ponys 16 years old and is really cool i lost my convidence really bad diddnt want to jump big anymore but my pony has changed all that she has been taking me over 120 true parralles no matter how scared i am she ignores me and gets on with the job in hand so wadnot sell her for all the money in the world
so please dont be pot of by the ponys age it sounds like the pony has the weath of experence that you cant pot a price on if its the pony for you i warld find the money
