Hi everyone, Just wondered if anyone has had the same problem?
My filly has been coming in at night sweating sooo much! so i clipped just a bit off her chest (which i didnt really want to do due to her age)
but this didn't help at all and this morning again was sooo sweaty!
i know the weather is warmer this year but i only purchased her in Feb
Just wondered if anyone had any tips?
We are on clay land and not possible to turn out at night unfortunately :(
im going to try swapping stables with my mare who is fully clipped so hopefully that might help

Nope she is settled, eating and chilled like normal and no rug
she has mirror, teddy and a hanging toys in her stable but she has always had them in and never been a problem
i have put her on haylage but im not sure if that would make a difference? Thats the only change i have made
Thank you x

If in any doubt take her temperature but my very fluffy 11 year old runs warm and has been sweating overnight this year. He is usually clipped but is out of work this winter and it’s been quite noticeable just how hot he is getting.

Can you improve the ventilation in the stable? Open any windows or use a chain across the door to keep air circulating

Yes I was wondering, is there any chance it might be condensation rather than sweat? Is she wet from the skin out or just on top of her coat?

ETA - Sorry, just realised you said she's coming in out of the field like this, ignore me! Can't be to do with the stable then.
