Hi I own a 18+hh horse and struggling to find tack to fit, especial girths long enough, birdels made up of diffrent makes so they fit bits any one else got big horses that can point me in the right direction.

Don't have a big horse (far from it!! 15hh?!!) but have always kept a selection of tack of various sizes - some huge. Maybe you could put up a note in your local tack store requesting 'large tack', or have a good nosey at the second hand department as there are always treasures to be found!!
 
theres a shop on ebay that do made to measure bridles. have a search under hunter bridles.

ive just had a searvch on google try searching extra full bridles, then may be ask the company selling the actual measurements,

girths etc theres pleanty about, i found a 62 inch on ebay ..

Elevator will do made to measure bridles. Peter Lewis has a saddler that will make you a bridle completely to your requirements (and not ridiculously expensive I believe). Pretty sure Albion will aswell.
 
My lad is 18hh ISH he is in an extra full bridle which you can buy from most places now, derby house, Robinsons i use the Rheingold padded bridle and it fits really well. I have my saddles made to measure because we need a 19" tree, i have the straps extended on the saddle so i can get a girth to fit but he is only a 54" so not too bad. You can buy girth extenders

There is a tack shop near me that sell leather work and bits bigger than most other tack shops, its called L for Leather, Manchester.

I would of thought at least 64 - 66 inch maybe bigger in 60inch at mo but with out attachment (which I don't like) it won't fit prop
 
Contact Matt from Heritage Saddlery, he does very good quality english leather tack and he's not expensive. He is also on ebay, or was when I bought a bridle for my friend's Clydesdale.

God that is big i think it is down to the saddle because mine have longer flaps so therefore longer straps so the girth sits where it would on any other horse.

What bred is he?

Stubben do an Extra Full Bridle (its lovely with thick straps) - ive got one for my cob (with a HUUUUGGGEE head and its on the first few holes on the headstall, so masses of scope to make it hugemongous!
 
I have the most massive girth - black cotton and 65" long - bought it for Cairo when he was a bit tubby and it is far too big for Farra.

If you want it, PM me as it is sitting there hardly used.

He was a 16.3 clyde so would be good for a huge beastie.

My saddle has longer flaps too i've had big horses before and never had any problems my 17.3hh is only in a 56 inch he ID X this ones breed is ID X TB she a chunky monkey and only 5 so still growning and need weight (not much mainly building up) yet so will def need bigger girth.

I have a 17.1hh clydie so know where your coming from. The Robinsons requisite flat cavesson bridle comes up HUGE, my boy has it all on top holes so it would fir your horse fine

throwgood girths go up to 62" in the GP version which is good

and prices are decent.

Saddlecloths are also hard to find for bigger saddles, I have a HKM dressage saddlecloth of my boy and fits it perfectly in full size as they come up big

Boot wise I found that the mark todd tendon boots fitted well and were a bit longer than average and throwgood conform brushing boots come in warmblood size

Headcollars Kincade of a massive one, Equestrianclearance.co.uk also sometimes has a selection of stuff in HUGE sizes normally in the sale as not many people want it

64 - 66" inch girth" Bloody hell. I've got an 18.1hh shire and I have enough trouble getting his 60" girths!
Have you tried working hunter cut saddles? My boy is too wide for GP's, so has a working hunter cut instead.
Frogpool manor do some big bits - just got my 6 1/2" from there.
As for rugs, go for weatherbeeta - only make to do 7'6's.

I have a 18 inch dressage saddle but with out the long straps a 60inch girth only comes about 1/2 inch below the saddle so just not long enough other saddles just looked like pony saddles on her, the dressage saddle fits quite nice at the moment dose not look out of place on her (at the moment) like i said she is only 5.
Bridles I can usally get awaywith by changing bit from diffrent makes rugs always come short on her she always got a cold belly bless her. I just need a longer girth.

I have an xxxfull bridle for my 18.2hh shire. I got it from risley saddlery. You can go and make the bridle up to fit your horse ie buy headpeice one size, cheek peices another size if needed, browband another etc. They are very helpful. Not sure if you are near them though. My shire only takes a 60" girth but I now have a treeless saddle and it is great on him. Definitely wetherbeeta for the 7' 6" rugs. Especially the ones with freestyle they are so much better with the pleats at the front than at the shoulder
 
Wow not only me then that the girth is taller than my height - seriously does anyone want it - give a few quid to charity and I will send it to you as wasted with me as our new girlie is looking like she too will be a nice small clydie as just under 16.2 at 5 years.
 
We have a HW hunter who is over 18hh - his saddle is the same shape and size as those worn by the cobs which are 15.1. Why would you want a bigger saddle - surely you need one that fits you? He has a longer girth. Try Fylde Saddlery for bridles and other leatherwork. They are used to fitting show horses, have good quality leatherwork and it is not massively over priced.
