Problem is that there isn't such a thing as a due date for mares. There is an average, but that's all. Mares can have fully developed foals at 315 days, or premature foals at 355 days. Don't expect the mare to foal by a certain date - she will foal when she's ready - no sooner, and hopefully no later

. If she's not foaled by 370 days of pregnancy, then get the vet to take a look. Otherwise, just sit tight, she'll have it soon. Good luck!

If its any consolation one of ours is now at 371 days. She has been vet checked and all is fine but she doesnt look 'imminent'. Vet says she will have it when she is ready.

Incidently the longest recorded gestation period was 417 days - maybe we are going for a record!
