Hello!

I hope I have got this in the right section.

I'm a newcomer to the forum and revisitor to the world of horses.
I am here for a number of reasons, friendly support as I reenter the world of horses, and also I am trying to track down as many copies of Horse and Pony Magazine from the 1990s, as is possible.
I would really like to purchase some copies to build a collection for my future children (that's totally an excuse, they're blatantly for me and my nostalgia!)
It was around the time there were writers called Helen, Joanne and Andrea, Freddie the little chestnut pony and Sarah were a team and Richard Duszczak was the cartoonist.
If anyone has any copies from this period, all considered, even special photo story editions, please contact me on [Content removed].
Thank you!

Have a look on ebay.
I got the full collection of HorseSense Magazines in binders for £20.
A real 90s throwback

Wowsers! I was given those binders by my cousins. They were excellent!

I've checked ebay and sadly no issues at the moment, just the hard back books you could buy on different horsey subjects.

There's a set of horse sense gone on eBay for 99p start!
It says pick up only but would be worth getting a courier.
I live my set of horse sense 😄

Thank you for the eBay spot! I think I'll buy some HorseSense copies while I'm at it. I loved them and they seem to have survived much better. Presumably because of the binders.

If anyone dies have any old H&P copies from the 90s, when the logo looked like this (sorry about the dire quality it was hard to find!) do let me know. I'd love to buy them.

Thanks everyone!

Ahhh Horse Sense.... A childhood wasn't a childhood unless your hands were getting badly lacerated by a badly designed magazine binder...

I wanted to be the blonde girl on the front with the Palomino.
But I also wanted to look after Freddie, ride Milton and groom Downlands Cancara. My walls were covered in Horse and pony magazine posters. From the Queen riding Burmese to King William, King Boris & King Solomen.
I wanted a matchy cross country set they used to advertise too lol.

Ha ha! Me too. I thought matching cross country set, ideally with numnah, rug, travel boots and headcollar, looked seriously chic!

Cancara was kept near my horse in Blendworth, Hampshire. He was always in a summer sheet in the sunshine so he didn't fade to brown.

I do not know why but Horse and Pony used to use a lot of PC and yards near us for photo shoots. My daughter was in it three weeks running, one a wonderful photo of the pony going on the wrong leg illustrating how not to do something, and she appeared on the front cover. At the time she was very embarrassed and told no one, could not understand why I kept the mags but at 30 she has it the cover shot on her phone.

Hi Sara, I’m just wondering if you still have any interest in back copies of Horse & Pony magazine? I have loads from early nineties, a lot of the time the posters have been taken out but I still have the posters - just in a separate pile! Let me know, thanks! :)

Yes please! What years are your issues from and how much might you like for all of them?
