Hi everyone

I've just put 2 saddles I have lying about on ebay & wondered if you thought my prices were resonable.

1 is a Stubben Siegfreid which is very well worn & has a few little knicks on the cantle but the tree is fine & the saddle has many more years left in it - it'd be perfect for someone wanting something for everyday riding to keep theirs nice & new or for breaking in etc. and I've asked £50 for it + P & P.
The other is a Thorowgood Griffin GP with Fish inserts & it's brand new with tags, it was a prixe that didn't end up fitting the horse I eventually bought! I've asked £100 for this.

Do you think that's fair? I don't want to rip anyone off...

Thanks

I'd say absolutely fair, on both counts! The Thorowgood sounds a bargain at that price - although I can see why you've aimed so low, as I was thinking of listing my lightly used Thorowgood dressage saddle the other day, only to see that I'd only get about £70 for it. They just dont hold their value, do they?

Thanks for replying - that's put my mind at rest, I'd hate to think I was ripping anyone off!!!!!!
Synthetic saddles don't hold their value at all - it's silly really as like a friend said to me earlier, they're actually perfect if you're just starting out & can't afford a leather saddle etc.

My OH just bought a synthetic for his cob (last one was stolen recently)- from e-bay- perfect for him as he doesn't ride a huge amount, doesn't compete and wouldn't be bothered with all the cleaning that goes with a leather...he paid 87 quid for a very smart looking thorowgood complete with leathers ...jobs a good 'un

Oh no! Sorry to hear your OH got his saddle stolen, you can't have anything can you, bl00dy theives!
I was trying to be reasonable about the Stubben as it is worn and as I said there are a few little chips in the leather at the cantle plus it's no use to me as it doesn't fit my lad so it just taking up room!

The Stubben is 17" & measures 7" from dring to d ring so I think it's narrow/med. The Thorowgood is 16" & measures 7.5-8" d ring to d ring which is med ish?!
