Took my Arab boy out yesterday, first time this year and 1st time without shoes!! Sound as a pound...makes me wonder why I have paid to have him shod for the past 4 years!
He was excellent boy on way out ...steady walk, trot and canter. Homeward...bouncy,jogging, hopping and cantering on the spot...so quite the norm for him!

Today I feel like I have been run over by a steam roller!

lol! Your not the only one to feel like that. I rode for the first time in 2010 a few days ago, only walking and trotting and i still ache!! Especially my legs.

I cant wait to ride my mare. She lost a shoe just as the snow started to melt and farrier not coming till friday!! So on saturday I will prob be aching lol x.

Yup, I rode for the first time on Sunday after 4.5weeks off. Only 30mins walk and trot (with a cheeky wee canter!

) and the insides of my upper thighs were still hurting on Tues!!

Rode again last night and they're not so bad today, so hopefully normal service will resume shortly and my riding muscles will return.

Yep, I rode my lad for the first time since the 20th December and he was a little tense and i could feel his back end just waiting for an excuse to put in an almighty buck but he didn’t.

My legs are killing me today and i cant believe how unfit i have become 20 mins of walk and trot and i was knackered.

Feel sorry for me then- I haven't ridden since July (only walk and trot for 20 mins at the end of a friend's schooling session! Ached for days!!) and have a lesson tonight! Hot bath as soon as I get home I think!
