So tomorrow will be my 1st Show Jumping show, we are going to Hartpury evening show jumping.

We seem to have solved the loading issues (hugging wood) and were looking forward to it. But i'm going alone and want to load him just once- just to come home, so had planned to watch the course-walk through the door. However just watched some youtube to prep myself a bit ...checked the schedule... and it's 2 phase!

Never jumped 2 phase before. I get that if you go clear then you immediately go on to the jump off. But are they extra fences (10,11,12...) or jumping a shortened version of the original course (123,789)- hope that makes sense:confused:. Also is there an extra bell? or if you think you've gone clear crack on to the jump off?

Any help will be very much appreciated

They are extra fences, so when you walk the course there is usually around 15. If after the 1st section (approx 9 jumps) you are clear, then carry on. If you hear the bell then you're not clear & don't finish the course. Sounds a bit complicated but it really isn't!! Enjoy & good luck!! Make sure you give us a report xx

They're extra fences :) They'll tell you beforehand obviously, but it'll be quite obvious where the first round end and jump off starts, it's normally 8-10 or so fences or whatever, then an extra 4-6 for jump off.

There's no bell if you go clear, they will ring the bell if you've had a pole though, and tell you not to jump the jump off course :) If you don't hear the bell - crack on!
