1st weekend of November plans

I was wrong but D was a saint, she was also really good with the tractors and rattly trailers I hate as we timed it so we had plenty of space 😁

Unfortunately our AM test was as shambolic as the previous week - we did manage the three R-L change but L-R were all late behind, and the rest of the test I felt like he and I were working against each other somewhat. The judge was generous enough to give us 63.75% so we have got our final Areas sheet.

On reflection I think I'm chasing the 'feel' that I had in our two recent good tests. Everything flowed, Sammy was forward but also lovely in the contact and everything felt easy. Last week's AM he was too forward and against the hand, yesterday he was more behind the leg but still a bit against the hand. Instead of working with what I have on the day I'm then pushing and pulling to try to get the same feel and naturally it's making it all worse! The only relief was speaking to his owner, who said she had the same challenge through her career with him too 😆.

Back to first principles I think, focus on improving from the start to end of a session with lots of transitions and work on the basics.
