My just 6 year old heavyweight cob needs more work than I can give him. Would like to find an ethical, confident but kind rider who is looking to get to know and form a bond with my lovely boy. He's show quality , confident, not spooky at all, naturally forward but green. He is a baby for 6 but ready to do more I backed him completely tackless using only positive reinforcement. He's now hacking and schooling using positive reinforcement, voice ,and the gentlest of aids. I don't want a constant kicker, or a rider who kicks unless very occasionally required, anyone with harsh hands or anyone who has only ridden at a riding school.
Someone with an interest in positive reinforcement/ scientific research into how horses learn or willing to learn. If you've only ridden traditionally , and are confident, you will find the way he's ridden to be very relaxed, ethical and easy ,and you'll learn a lot.
We have miles of beautiful private hacking, a school, lots of other rural and semi rural rides right from the lovely, relaxed, small yard.
I'd prefer someone mature, over 25 but possibly open to a younger person if not a joyrider. Flat work and hacking only. He will never be a jumper, he's not remotely interested.
South Yorkshire/ North Notts Border, yard is in S26 area. Flexible on days. Possibility of showing , pleasure rides etc in time. Small financial contribution basis or riding for chores is fine.
