2.5 year old that wants to play bite!

Since all you people are use to young horses I thought it may be a good idea to ask you first. I have a 2.5 year old that wants to play bite, when you approach him and when leading him - do you have any ideas on how to put a stop to this before it becomes a habit? Many Thanks

i have one the same, just pay attention so he does not nip you, i don't smack mine but say no in a low voice and ush his nose away, i think we just have wait till they grow up a bit and find a new hobby! , and don't give titbits

Ok I know its a bit weird but really works. Carry a Jif squeezy lemon and each time he goes to nip or manages to nip squirt it in his mouth. They hate the taste and it doesn't hurt or do any harm - just watch you don't get it into his eyes. Its actually even more effective if you can do it so he doesn't see you actually doing it - as if its just come out of the air like magic.
