2 day music festival in the NEXT field!!!

I have been umming and ahhing for months what i'm going to do. I didn't want to move them as this is the 1st please WB has settled into.

So decided to leave them out 24/7 this week so they can watch the erection of huge marquee, the fair ground rides arrive and all the noice involved...

Walked over this morning could see that the camping field was pretty full already and the VERY LOUD sound checks had started and I was worried .....

This is what I found ....

The stables are prepped and ready, but the stables are so close I'm thinking they may be better out so they can see and get further away- I'll play it by ear I think. Hopefully they will just enjoy rocking out to EMF :cool:

TBH, I'd only worry about the people going to the MF and whether they're likely to be throwing things over your hedge where the horses can get at them or even get in with your horses.
If it were me, I'd be moving them completely away and thoroughly checking over the field for fence damage, syringes, packaging and the like before you think of turning them back out.

Thought for you; it takes over 50 people over SIX WEEKS of walking shoulder to shoulder to clean up after the Creamfields Festival and they have skips in the teens for the rubbish they clean up. No way would I leave my horses next to something even a quarter of the size of that.
 
I'm at the festival anyway - free tickets for inconvenience:p

So I'll be popping to and fro- the camping is the nearest bit and there is a lane between. I should imagine it's 1 20th of the size of Creamfields if not less and the section closest I have fenced off, so there is a lane then about 10 metres before where the horses are so anything thrown over they can't get to.

The gates are locked and I will be parking my car across the gateway too with the alarms on! I also know the boss of the security team (our kids are in PC together) so he'll be keeping an eye out too.
 
Must admit I would be more worried about people going into the field. Especially after imbibing in recreational substances. Common sense goes out of the window then. Most horses would probably put up with the noise, the rest I would not risk, no way. A couple of people keeping an eye on the field are no match for a crowd of inebriates. Sorry.

Hope I'm being over dramatic.:(
 
Looking at the weather they will be in soon anyway.

We'll be fine- there is no direct access and Z isn't the type to entertain people he doesn't like - even me some times!
