We have now returned from Spain, and have found accomodation for our smaller dogs, and have fostered out
a spaniel and a jack russel.

Our larger dogs are however, desperately in need of good loving homes.

We have 2 Northern Inuits, 2 Husky X's, and a long haired White GSD.

We also have a medium sized Catalan Sheepdog.

Our only solution when we got back to the UK was to put them in a 20' contatiner on a piece of land, so that we could at least put a roof over there head, and we can go and walk them etc.

However, it is clearly distressing for them, and it is horrible to put them through this. Our situation is desperate, because we simply do not have the resources to solve this problem, and much as we would like to keep them all, we cannot find accomodation that will take us with so many animals, and we cannot afford to buy anywhere suitable for such a large pack.

Permanent homes or foster homes now DESPERATELY needed.

If anyone can help with fostering, then we will of course pay all food and vet bills.

All our dogs are passported, microchipped, wormed, tic and flea treated, excellent natured, all good with kids, cats, and people. It is a terrible shame to see them all go, but we have the best interest of the dogs to consider.

PLEASE PLEASE contact us if there is any chance of help.

We would prefer for them not to go into kennels, as they have all been used to a big open garden in Spain, and the fact that they come in whenever they want... but obviously this is not always possible in England.....

Please email cliffwebb@gmail.com or 01249 820091 and we will call you straight back.

Thankyou in advance.

Marcy and Cliff

Sorry, but could you not have rehomed them in Spain?

It seems like you have put these dogs through a lot, surely you msut have known if you could provide a home for them when you came to the UK?

My yard is also a husky rescue so if you need homes for the huskies let me know and they might be able to help, Im sure they could find homes for the Innuits too.

We really had little choice im afraid....
We lost our house in Spain, and had 2 choices, either rehome them in Spain, where they would inevitably be locked in 6x4 pens and thrown a chunk of bread every few days. The SPanish tend to just have them as guard dogs. Also in Spain there are nasty insects that give Leishmanieosis, ( a disease that can kill) heartworm, and then the worry of Processionary caterpillars..
We decided that even though it cost us several thousand pounds, that bringing them to UK would give them a better chance. We had the possibility of a piece of land, (1 acre) and were going to live in a mobile home and fence the whole thing in for the doggies, and that would have been heaven for us... but it all went wrong, and we were literally homeless...
We managed to find a lovely little cottage where we are allowd to keep 4 of he small dogs, but understandably the landlady is reluctant to have the rest..

We are genuine dog lovers, and it is killing us to let them go, but we genuinely have the best interest of the dogs at heart.

We have invested so much time and emotions into the dogs, as well as practically our last penny, but we will gladly spend that as well if it means the doggies are homed.

Hope you can help.

That's quite unkind! You may not have been to Spain and seen how they treat their dogs but I would do exactly what this owner has done rather than leave them to an uncertain fate over there.

Wish I could help but maybe the RSPCA or local rescue could rehome them?

Thats a bit harsh! I'm sure they've had their dogs best interests at heart!

Desperatly wish I could help, particularly with the huskies, but we're already relocating ourselves in february and having a nightmare of a time finding somewhere to rent that will take ours.

I'll pass this round to all the contacts I have who maybe able to help however. Really hope you find something, this must be terrible for you

If you google for your local GSD training club they will probably know someone who will have the GSD. BAGSD is the national organisation & they have a good website (this is a training & GSD promotion org, not a rescue but they all love GSDs & will often know someone who can help, short or longterm) If that fails I can put you in touch with someone in Bucks but please try locally first.

Here are most of the GSD rescues in the UK. One of them will probably be able to help. It doesn't mean going in kennels, many of them have foster homes.
