I swear my silly little boy things he's a human, he spends half of his life on two legs and its annoying me now!
I simply got my mare out of the field tonight to groom her! he stood at the fence 10 feet away and waited for us! occassionly pawing at the fence!
Then crowed the gate when I tired to put her back, so I got him to back up! got her in then he came over rearing up at her! he reared and came down with one foot resting on the top of the gate! then came free, reared up again, and rested a foot on her bump! eventually I managed to get her head collar off and they went like loons around the field!
I don't understand why he responds to any little bit of stress with a rear! if you've read any other post of mine, he does this a lot! he's rising 3 and is pretty much left to be a baby but does come in for grooms, farrier etc and I do some ground work but not too much! so i doubt he's in any kind of pain, but I wonder if i should get his back etc checked just in case?
