If you have done it in the past, why did you let 2 ponies go for £30. Considering meat price, they were cheap. Quite a profit there dont you think.

plus they werent worth much more they were unhandled basically...and personally I wouldnt send a horse for meat in any circumstance...they are perfectly healthy 3 yr old young ponies.

So.... what precisely IS wrong with being a dealer?

Bin end? Again, so what? Smaller, cheaper ponies means more ponies 'rescued', mended and sold on. Where is the problem in that?

Potters, once again, so what? If it is best for the pony and it was destined for there in the first place, so be it. The ponies don't know, they don't suffer and in the end, that's what is most important - isn't it?

Pastie, how many ponies do you take on, get sorted and re-home, for cash or otherwise?

I dont enfys, I prefer not to line the pockets of the so called breeders of meat ponies, I dont want them to profligate any more than I would want to myself.

The thing is these ponies didnt ask to be born and in my eyes life is precious.

What about the thousands of dog rescuers around the country that take in all the dogs churned out by puppy farmers. Im sure these private rescuers are the tip of a very big iceberg.

I agree that there is no such thing as a meat pony too.

Are!!!! Pastie2 and Ucmeicu the most Diplomatic posters on the forum and it seems still have it in for Fumanchu?????
I'd rather have Fumanchu on here than the drivel those two met out.:):):):):)

Is she keeping them and giving them ''forever'' homes or are they just being handled and tidied up and sold/rehomed?

It is just the fact that HHOers have put her on a pedastil, she is a dealer no more and no less. She is not a charity, they are all sold on if they pass muster, otherwise they end up at the slaughter house, where they were oringinally meant to be. To get the record straight they are not rescued, if there will be no profit, off they go to Potters. So if we can put this in context, she is a dealer!, and a bin end dealer to boot.

Bin end - what a lovely turn of phrase! Once again the nastiest on the forum get their claws out to have a dig at their sworn enemy, grow up!

jessicabeau1, well done for sorting them out with a good home, they may have been 'bin end' but i am very sure they will have a good future and when ready will be passed on to decent long term homes (unless FMC decides to go all fluffy and keep them as pets!)

I'm gona write what I think and leave this thread as it think half off you lot need to get a life and make your dam minds up.
1. One day you all slag dealers off but today there's nothing wrong with them
2. Lots off people save horses it's nothing special, so iv been told on here before. Make you minds up again
3. Half off you lot haven't even meet this woman so get out her arse and get a life.
4. Oh and to end it if somebody can send so many ponies to Potters as you all talk about than something is wrong. You make it sound that if she can't make money out off these ponies than she will send them on to slaughter. Personally knowing she was a dealer and her record off sending to Potters no way would I give her a pony.
5. Iv had my say so I'm off to let you all see who can climb up the highest.

The thing is, the ponies have been bred, they do exist and deserve a chance as does any other horse. It is a bit like those fur coats from our Grannies' day that many of us probably have in closets, it was killed 50 years ago, how is wearing/keeping it going to make any difference to the mink or whatever?

One person ignoring a pony isn't going to make a jot of difference to the hill or forest farmers who run ponies on common land, they'll still breed them to sell, whether they go for meat, pets or anything else is not the point.. The only thing that will stop them is classifying ponies as agricultural animals (I don't think they are, are they?) and having to keep records, I suspect that will be a long time coming.

What do you disagree with then Echo? It is simply two ponies sold cheap by an ex dealer to a dealer ... fact, nothing exceptional there. Whats the problem with that???

HAHAAHAHAHAHHAAHAHHAHA!
I noticed this thread had 9+ pages and i just had to read it knowing something would have happened :D ;)
well this is a bit pathetic ;) im pretty sure school (with a bunch of arguing teenagers) finished yesterday, but then i seem to be in the same situation :')
Oh the joys of HHO!
Well done fumanchu for taking in some new ponies :)
*waiting for her to appear and turn into an almighty long thread*

Ucmeicu and Pastie2 nastiest pair of posters, cann't understand the bile you have for Fumanchu. So ok she's a dealer, bought my best horse from a dealer, there are good and bad,but from what I've read on her post she's been honest and blunt, but there again so am I.

enfys, I understand what you are saying, I dont know what the answer is. I lived in the Brecon Beacons. The ponies were feral, no breeding regime, just son on daughter brother on daughter. Not registered, they all end up at Brecon market. Even the ponies bred on the Eppynt that are registered are rubbish. God know what must happen to stop this indescriminate breeding. It has gone on for years, the lucky ones get to the sale, there are many that die as foals and die foaling. I just wish that people would not buy these ponies and stop the farmers carrying on breeding. At these sales they get more than they do a lamb, so because of people like FMC they will keep on. Yes enfys I do have a problem with her. Please try and understand my point of view as well./ What ever they think of me on here, I am quite a well ballanced person! Thank you for getting this far. x

Venom? What have I said that isnt a fact? What have I said thats personal, nothing, I just stated its only one ex dealer selling to a dealer, nothing wonderful.

Pastie2, go back on here, as far back as you can, and you will see that JM7/JM07/fumanchu is/was probably THE most vociferous poster against over-breeding.
She has never bought from markets to encourage breeding, only buying those she can give a viable future to.
I'm not sure who you have been listening to but you really have not got the right end of the stick.

Do the people she buys from at the markets give a damn why she buys them and whether she agrees with their breeding or not? No, they just want their money either way.

You have history.

Only difference is, you can hide behind the "subject that can't be discussed".

And as you are bestest friends with a few Essex dealers you are well placed to spot a Dealer aren't you?
Or, so I'm led to believe, they are called "rescuers" in Essex, aren't they, Girl?
