2 prong or 4 prong?

This is kind of an on going debate at my yard Which fork is better for mucking out? 2 prong or 4? 4 prong wins easily

2 prong's no good for mucking out, its just a hay fork, great for putting down straw beds though.

i have a wonderful ancient thing from the dark ages, four prongs but only the width of a 2 prong hay fork, light as a feather and the best thing ever for lifting poo

i always used 2 prong for straw beds but have been using woodchip for many years and find a 4 prong better. had to muck out straw a few weeks ago and used the 4 prong but would have been easier with the 2 prong(if i still had it)

4 prong all the way... and then a shavings fork to pick the odd bits up.

My fork is a five prong and I ordered it specially cos I got fed up with the bits of poo slipping between the prongs.

5 prongs is best. I miss having a pitch fork, only got shavings forks at current yard. But not worth buying one with a shavings bed. It's just easier to throw the beds up and then scoop up the little poos with a shavings fork. Hrm. I think i need to get a life.

I agree have a 5 prong for mucking out , a 4 prong for tidying up muck cart and a 2 prong for filling hayracks yeeha!!!!!!!!!

2 prong for straw . preferably well worn down.

I use both, as well as a multipronged (I haven't counted, but more than 20) fork for tidying up the little bits - and shavings!
