Ok i went to try a horse today, a TB's who was lovely, bay gelding and very kind natured. my first question is how much should I offer for the one for sale?
He is 5, TB (but no special bloodlines) about 16hh, very quiet and no vices. Incredibly green to ride, he wobbles and he needs help balancing on bends etc. However, tries to please, moves well of the leg, snaffle mouthed and hacks out well, not really phased by trafic although can 'look' at times. He could do with weight on, now the main issue was schooling, although he works well and tracks up nicely he cannot canter on the correct leg on the left rein without having to attempt it about 5 or 6 times, but does get there eventually and his canter is nice. I presume he has all jabs etc and he was shod. How much should i offer? (He has not be advertised for sale yet)
Secondly, yesterday i went to ride this ex polo pony and found it really hard to sit to the canter, it was really bouncy and odd, and i swear both its front legs lifted at the same time really high as part of the canter (sorry i just cant describe the feeling) andway can this be schooled out of them, and is it just this particular ho9rse, or do all polo ponies pick up this type of canter?
