The boys are in serious bother :mad:. Took Murphy and Colin out for a short hack. Due to bone spavins in both hocks Colin is only allowed to hack out in walk for 20 minutes :o, and Murphy goes with him to be a calming influence............... How wrong could I be :eek::mad::rolleyes:??? There was a bloke mowing his lawn, we walked past the lawn mower no problem, carried on down the track, then Colin decided to turn himself inside out :mad:. He is prone to these 'moments' :rolleyes:, but today was the first day in a long time he has really gone for it :confused: (and first time since having his hocks treated). Well good thing I have sane, sensible Murphy with me (complete with nervous Mother on board :rolleyes:)............Or so I thought :mad:. Murphy at this point bolts flat out for home (about 1/2 mile away) with nervous Mother hanging on for dear life. With Murphy having disappeared around the corner, Colin decides to try follow. Being aware that he is not allowed to go faster than walk, I tried to keep hold of him, so he started rearing, bronking, bucking etc. Eventually stopped, so I jumped off him, as I was worried I would have nervous Mother scrape up round the corner. Lead Colin home (by this point butter wouldn't melt :rolleyes:), and eventually come across nervous Mother who was walking towards me (Thank God :eek:, albeit Murphy-less :rolleyes:) Turns out Murphy galloped all the way home, Mother had shoved him in a stable and come to find me, as the last time she had seen me I was being sent into orbit by Colin :eek:. So somehow all still in one piece we made it home.

Colin still has another 2 weeks of hacking in walk, I think we shall be having some 'interesting' moments. I think i'll have to sideline Murphy from the nannying job (plus nervous Mother is refusing to hack him out :o).

So bidding is starting at £1...........any takers :rolleyes:???

I will definitely take Murph off your hands for a quid :D Although I'm not sure I could stretch to £1.50 given all the money I would have to spend on shampoo to keep him clean! :D

Naughty ponies!! Must be something in the air, ours broke out the field on Monday night, ate two dustbins worth of feed and generally ran amok :mad:

You are right Kirstyhen there IS something in the air!! I had to separate B and the 12.2 today. Put B out in his new summer combo turn out rug (made specially good as we won it so it was free :D ). Admittedly he did look a bit like a jousting horse in it - he took off galloping and bucking. The 12.2 decided he had never seen this horse before and had to attack him - cue kicking and general bad boy behaviour. separated them twice. Each time put back into same field 12.2 goes after him like thing possessed. Remove summer sheet and they are instantly best buddies again:confused:
 
Ok, so both boys were a 'tad' (:D:p:eek::rolleyes:) naughty, but look on the bright side Colin is obviously feeling well with little pain in his hocks, no? :D
 
Wow that sounds rather dramatic! Well done to you and mother for staying onboard! So same time tomorrow then ;).

As to buying them, well, I have two old-ish toffees, only slighty fluff covered, a bent paperclip, and about five pence in loose change - any good? :cool:
 
Ohh the joys of walk exercise! My Arab was on box rest for ten days earlier this month and was supposed to do 20-30 mins in walk a day. He's not the worlds least spooky horse at the best of times but it's usually a look and snort of surprise more than anything too dramatic... We had full on leaping spinning antics from start to finish every day! Was sooo relieved to turn him our again, so really do feel your pain!
 
Remember it is 1 pound (stupid American phone doesn't do pound signs!) For the 2 horses. So if you have Murphy, you have to take Colin aswell. Think of Colin like the booby prize! I'll even chuck un a vets bill with him!

Mrs M, what type of toffees are we talking about here? Depending on the brand, you might just clinch this!
 
I will then come in with half a packet of Werthers toffees and a hairy slab of thorntons, but I can pull most of the dog hair off first?
 
I will leave the grownup boys, but i believe you have a yearling now if that is a £1 send him down!!!!!!!!!!!

Brill, will keep the Jaffa's then, swap for home made sponge cake with cream filling and strawberries on top?
 
Ok I will take the strawberries off :eek: although if I snuck them in I could have all your horses for free MWAHAHAHAAAA!!! :p
 
Just had the parents round and now have some left over walnut tart and some Spanish type liqueur stuff to throw in with my pound. Any Good?

they sound like very sensible horses to me % such a bargin!
i will bid £1 plus some leftover strawberry laces i found in the horsebox today, may only have been there for a month or so, a waggon wheel biscut, sorry only 1 left i quite like them, plus a handfull of used staples please contact me to arrainge delivery you will have to take at least one of mine back with you though!
 
Ok I realise the price has probably gone up given Murpheys performance at BS, but can I throw in a deal breaker?

To my previous bid of '1 pound and a whole packet of Werthers originals AND a pack of TimTams' can I add a lovely, sane, calm to hack (if you dont have Goannas) huggable Beau (who is a beautiful shade of brown hiding all stains) for Murphey and Colin.

Just think of what you would save on shampoo!!
