2 year old and fly rugs!!!!

Please can someone help. I am hoping that someone will be in a similar situation.
I have a rather large 15.3 almost 2 year old, who is out 24/7 with another horse. Where they are keep does get quite a lot of flies which really unsettles the 2 year old. Both of them have had fly rugs on for the past couple of weeks, 2 year old has a Masta fly rug with fixed neck.
Now the fly rug has started rubbing and he has got no mane left just above his shoulders (still got mane by his withers) and a bald patch on his throat. He has also tried to add additional ventillation- which means it is certainly time to buy a new one - but which one??????
He is a rapidy growing ISH x CB/Shire and already in 6ft 3 rugs. So I know he is going to grow more and don't to spend silly money only for him to go and grow out of it in a couple of months.
Advice please?
 
I'd try an amigo for a growing 2 year old. They've fit my youngster since I bought him and they should last. However, if you could possibly extend to a 6'6" it might last him a little longer. Hope this helps. :)
 
Rocky - have you had a problem with rubbing as that is my main concern, my boy os not exactly a TB in build - more like a single decker bus!!!!
 
My 2 yr old is wearing a Weatherbeeta Airflow Combo - £41.99 I think from Equestrain Clearance.

It doesn't rub her mane, or coat anywhere - infact shes super sleek coated when it comes off.

Mine acctually match, as I bought them both one....

Edit - I measured her as just under 5ft3, so I bought her a 5ft6 which is fitting but roomy.

I haven't had the problem with rubbing with any of the horseware range. I would go a size larger though if he has chunkier shoulders.
What I've found with youngsters is that they have a relatively shallow thin neck rather than a full size neck and so that tends to drop the front of most rugs makes lower on the chest which then pulls back and rubs both the top of the mane and the shoulders.
If you can i would go to the horseware Ireland site and look at their measuing guide and take the bigger size, I've generally found it really good for immature horses that are growing.

Rocky thank you. I will have a look tomorrow - I have mountains of paperwork to do! Plus the fact no need for a fly rug in Wiltshire today, it's pouring down with rain.
