Me and Pippy did our first ever driving trial
. It was very local, and we just did the first 2 phases, leaving out the XC but we had a great time. In the turnout, we came last, I forgot to clean the girth, as it didn't fit in the washing machine, and I didn't plait. The only comment was 'just when you don't want them to play up, bravely driven'
We came 2nd out of 3 in the dressage, with just over 50% getting comments including
'fell in over X, broken pace, disobedience''4'
'not square, immobility not achieved'
In the cones, we got 7 down I think and about 20 seconds too slow, but I was over the moon, we left more up than down. Dad took him round the XC and before we went the organiser told us we had to have a kicking strap on, would we wouldn't be allowed to run, and at the 10 min halt we fed him thousands of blackberries to keep him still.
There were some positives, he was well behaved at the box for the 1st time, loaded every time first time trying, and the dressage judge said he had potential.
It seems soo much longer than 2 years ago!
The only picture not embarrassingly cringe worthy.
