... I lost my beloved Nettie, my friend, soul mate, horse of a lifetime. I had him 2 weeks short of a year, but it was the most incredible time. I lost him to a tragic accident where he caught his leg in a five bar gate and snapped it clean in half. There was nothing that could be done. I still have him, in a wooden box on my bedside table, I cant bear to be far from him. I miss him terribly and still think about him every day, i'll never forget him.
When i went to view him (in p!ss poor condition)
Three weeks later
Peek a boo!
Snoozing in the field at 5am
Unfortunatley this look was all too real only a couple of weeks later
And just a few days before his last...
And i just love this one he just looks so sweet...
So next time you see your horses, please give them a big hug and let them know just how much you appreciate them even if they are broken and you cant do anything with them. You just never know when they may not be there anymore.
