2 years ago today I bought my lovely gelding. I love him to pieces and I wouldnt be without him now!!
So I thought Id post a bit of a picture thread about what we’ve got up too :D

On 8th October 2011, I bought a 3 and a half year old cob. My first baby horse :D I couldn’t bring him home because the yard my mare was at didn’t have a stable available at the time. (but I knew one was coming up!) So I sent him to live with my friend (chickeninabun on here) for a month. I will always be very very grateful to her, for without her I wouldn’t have him, she showed me his ad, she came to the viewings, she towed him to her yard, she looked after him that first month! Thank you CiaB!!

After a month, he came “home” and met my mare. Things didn’t go well. The other livery’s were HORRIBLE and for a month I went home crying every day! Due to comments about him being a beast that would have me in hospital.

So a month later, me and my horses got out of there!

In april 2012 I sat on him for the first time (having taught him to lunge, long rein, wear tack, go for walks etc)

we did two in hand shows that summer, I wanted to let him see a show environment.

This year, I started schooling him, jumping him, we had lessons, we went on camp, we competed at dressage (intro) and SJ up to 55cm, we did a ODE (just a very small local one!) , and I did a le trec competition :D He gets rosettes nearly every time out!!

Hes a fantastic horse and I am VERY Lucky to be able to call him mine <3

Gosh has it realy been two years? I remember you first posting about him. Doesn't seem that long.
You've done so well with him already. I hope you have many many more fun filled years together. You both always look so happy whatever you are doing :)

Your hard work and belief as paid off. he is lovely and look how well you both have done. well done and heres hoping for more lovely posts from you. just lovely :)

Brilliant pics, he is lovely and so reminds me of my cob, who is the same age as well, and we are doing the same stuff as you guys :) Just done our first 55cm clear round.

Our aims for the spring are also a prelim test and some bigger SJ :)

Two fingers to those people on your original yard!

What a beautiful thread :-) Pics are fantastic and let's hope someone from that other sees this and squirms a little at how wrong and incredibly rude they were!!!

Lovely lovely looking boy and that is a result of YOUR hard work. Well done. Oh...and that's quite a jump he has on him :-)

Good luck for your future together xxx

Thanks guys :D
LW I know! Time has flown!! Your comment about us looking happy made me smile :D
Feathered, looking at your avatar, the eyes are similar!! lol :)

The people from the old yard, drive past me when Im hacking regularly, would love them to know just how well we're doing now!! They were so wrong!! They told me that he would put me in hospital, and that I needed to "get on him STRAIGHT away" while he was fairly weak and babyish, or he'll hurt me bad!! (This is before he knew what tack was, before lunging, before any ground work!! I was like, sureeeee I want to get on a horse that doesn't know me or understand whoa or steering or anything else :S lol)
Was lovely when I moved, the livery's at my yard adore him and it was so nice to get supportive people that told me I WOULD be ok with him (I started wondering at the old place what they could see that I couldn't, if there was truth in it etc)

RG I can't believe that's two years! He's a star and lovely, glad to see you're having so much fun together. What a great jump he has on him too :)
