Hi all,

Have not been on for quite some time as been really hectic, so just trying to catch up on everyones news.

We now have 6 foals on the ground. Sugababe is doing well in Germany despite her eye operation.

Have 5 foals at home so far as follows:

MFS Casino Royal - Born 1st May (pictures taken 2 days old) - Beautiful black colt by our wonderful Royal Geneve......

We are really pleased with them all. Celine, Caliana and Caelen are the first foals by our young dressage stallion, so we could not be happier with what he is producing.

If today brightens up any then I will take some more.

Just very glad that "touchwood" all has gone well so far................a very far cry than last year!
 
They are all so gorgeous, but Casino Royal is just STUNNING! A lovely tribute to his beautiful father.
Congratulations on all your lovely foals and good luck for the rest of the year.

Are you considering keeping Casino Royal entire? To follow on where his handsome father left off?
 
Caliana is my favourite.
ours start foaling later this month, already had one scare with two older mares bleeding from behind, vet reckons varicose veins!
I'm quite apprehensive these days as it seems the more foals you have the greater the risk of losing them, fingers' crossed we all have a good year this time.

Tia the hope is to keep Casino Royal entire, especially with his colouring. We only have one foal by Royal Geneve this year, but hope to put a couple of mares in foal to him for 2008. We still have a few straws of frozen semen and are hoping to keep more daughters from him and see if we have anything eventually good enough to fill his shoes on the stallion front.

Carissa and Celine have already been sold, but Caelen and Caliana are still available. Caelen and Caliana are in together and just this week have teamed up, they are like a tag team special

........Caliana is the boss even though Caelen is bigger than she is.

We are hoping to put Carissa and Casino Royal in together but both the mares are new mums, so we are just watching to see how they get on just now.

Henryhorn, know EXACTLY how you feel, as we had an awful year last year and when poor Sugababe got injured we did start to panic for this year. We still have another three to go, so we are still very apprehensive until they are all born this year. I keep on doing the "touchwood" with everything I say when it comes to the foals this year.

Funnily enough we also had a mare with varicose veins this year, the vet says it can happen as they get older.

Henryhorn I certainly wish you all the best for your breeding this year, as with everybody else that still has to foal mares yet.
