has anyone thought about there choice of stallions for 09 a little premature but im sure there are lots of people who have a idea or if you are like me you will leave everything to the last minute! what are your choices and why?
 
im hoping ladyfresha's stallion(tlaloc m x louella wendekries) grades this autum and i would like to use him for one if she will let me!!!!!possibly for my cruise missile mare
would like clintissimo z for my ramiro x notaris mare???(need to save though?)
and last but not least greygates has another lovely colt(from me!!)(carthago x ramiro z) that i would love to use on my hanoverian mare (stonegrove ace x diamond x pike senior) then i need to buy another for the stallion i have just bought!!!!!
 
Don Joshi, Hilkens Black Delight and Orchard Glasnost are all going around my head at the moment. I also need to decide if this is for 09 or 10!
 
Quaprice!!! He absolutely takes my breath away and I definitely want to use him it's just deciding which mare!

I'm also looking at Sir Shutterfly, who I really like the look of but he hasn't stopped me in my tracks like Quaprice....
 
i've been having a little think about it and i've narrowed it down to a couple for each mare...

for my cruising mare i'd like to use Contendro I or Air Jordan.

on my For Pleasure x Sandro x Saros mare i'd like to use Cornet Obolensky, Diamont de Semilly or Verdi

for my Cornet Obolensky x Calido x Indoctro i'm thinking Berlin or Guidam.
 
I've not decided on any stallions for certain yet, but will definitely be using Sambertino - most probably on one of the Gribaldi mares to try and get a nice dressage horse with a good temperament and the capability of jumping well if required.

Am holding fire with most of them until I have seen what they produce this time, but the liklihood is that I will stick to KWPN horses for the Dutch mares.
 
Really waiting to see how my 09 foal turns out mare went to a stunning connemara stallion this year but im thinking Jumbo for the next but wont be untill spring 2010 as very late foal for next year.

Our Premium Cleveland Bay mare will bring us a Jaguar Mail foal in March and then go to the purebred CB Penrhyn Dictator.

Already thinking of Verdi for 2010 service.

Of course I've thought about 2009 stallions (and 2010 ones!)

I really really want a Weltmeyer foal but the filly I was thinking of using him on, probably needs something a little different so I think i will use him on Dee Dee (Dueka x Handsome Sailorxx ) as really want to focus on a better hock action with her and Weltmeyer will give me that for sure.

For Cleio (Ringo x Achtermann) I am going to need some help. Been thinking of the feedback we got from the Futurity for her and I want to improve her schwung and throughness. I wouldn't mind using something that had at least some Trakehner blood in it, or at least a good Tb influence.

Gerty (Landino x Punjabxx) will return to Weston Justice, and if I like Alligator Fontaine in the flesh as much as I like him on screen, she will go to him in 2010.

Dell (Demonstrator x My Eagle xx) I have Sanyo pencilled in for.

Marci (my Hungarian cremello filly) has Stalypso pencilled in - ever since we saw him in February

Persia (TB Quws x Glacial Storm), really depends on whether we manage to take her for TBF grading or not, as to wether we go Trakehner with her next season or maybe a coloured stallion. No plans for her yet

Venezia (Trakehner HG Solomon x Consul) I really would like to use Garuda K on her next year if they are able to collect from him then. If not Le Rouge would be very high on the list.

Elf will be backed after her 2009 foal so she can do her performance test.

I expect we will put Breeze the cob mare back to him, so long as her 2009 foal to him looks good when it hits the ground!!

We may well be looking at getting another mare next year but as yet no decisions made, I expect we will go for a mare to suit our own stallion though seeing as he is here!!

Although I would love to have a Free Spirit (Jumbo / Novelice / Argus II) baby at some point as I have always really liked him!! I think he would go nicely over Disan Geisha Girl but so will our chap and its more important for us to get some of his babies on the ground.
 
Have to agree with you cruiseline….he was truly awesome yesterday!

On the mare’s next year though we are considering the following.

From an eventing standpoint:

El Thuder (Thunder vd Zuuthoeve/Larome/Goldespring de Lauzelle) as his 2008 baby is soo exquisite so can’t not consider him again - also SJ but ’08 foal is very very light boned and more and eventer than SJer;
Future Illusion
Mighty Magic
Landtanzer
Handsome Stranger (Hand in Glove) – interested in him before and then saw cruiseline’s gorge baby and VERY tempted by him now
Sempers Spriti – I love this horse and the added colour is a bonus (and from what I’ve seen so far he hasn’t thrown a single ugly foal!)
