I thought I would show some pictures from last year :D

We started the year with a Yard move. Roo went on to grass livery, she took quite a while to settle in as she was on isolation so didn’t see much of anyone else.

Soon after, we went for a hack, Roo got kicked and ended up staying on box rest for a week. She coped really well and was soon sound again :D

In April, after having some jumping lessons, we did a showjumping competition AND WON IT!!!

We went on a day trip with some other liveries, was a fantastic day, 7 of us went for a 3 hour hack around Fountains Abby.

We did a dressage test in the summer, she was so good, we came away with some good constructive criticism to work on.

We did another showjumping competition and bought a couple of professional photos

In September, Roo went lame. She had several nerve blocks and scans, and it was found that she had scar tissue and tendon tear in her fetlock. She was given steroid injections, which didn’t really do anything. They made her sound until we tried to ride again.

In November we had another move of yards, she wasn’t happy on grass livery so we moved to put her on DIY.

Shes doing ok at the moment. We're up to 20 mins walking in hand, and shes coping amazingly well with box rest.
Just hope that the surgery has worked, they were pleased with the way it went but obviously no one knows until I try to work her.

She looks such a lovely, honest mare, and how lucky that she's got such a caring owner. I really hope that the operation proves successful, let us know how you both get on.

I started off the year still having this little guy on loan (I'd started loaning him October last year)

He was 12.2hh, I was 5'7 .. He was an amazing little pony, but it wasn't until I asked on here how much he would be worth to buy and most of the people responded saying I was/would become too big for him, that I realised they were right. I didn't want to stop loaning him so I just stopped riding him.

In March I was offered a horse from work for free, as the company that owned her had shut down and the trainer had decided she'd be no good as a race horse and needed a nice home. I didn't like her, she was a crazy little filly and had booted a fair few people and almost double barrelled me in the head the day I was told of her being rehomed. But, I thought I'd take her on as she was going for free and then sell her, make a bit of money to help save up for a horse I really liked. I stil have the crazy filly, although now she is so laid back and sweet natured you'd never think she was ever like that.
This is her still at work, in March before I got her.

:)

I also bought this little fella in April, but he needed a lot of time and patience and I didn't have the time or the money to keep him and in October I sold him on.
