2011 Aims???

To continue with my jumping lessons and regaining my confidence - I want to be jumping at least 2'6 by the summer :) I want to take him back to JumpX and do lots more XC this year too. By the end of the summer I want to take him out and do our first event.

I also want to buy a 4x4, trailer, do my trailer test and start getting out and about to comps and getting lots of practice in :D

After gaining vaulable experiance @ BE100 level this year, mainly getting double clears but not getting placed due to time faults my aim is to kick harder and get in the time and get placed :)

I would love to have a go at novice, but because I have never ran at this level nor Twizzy I dont want to rush oursevles, only time will tell if we are ready.

Hmm, my aim to just have fun and continue to enjoy my mare!

BUT, on a competitive level, I want to get out and be ready to jump newcomers by the outdoor season starting, have fun doing the BN regionals, and maybe have a crack at some 1.15's/1.20's.... :D No worries if not, we've got plenty of time!

May have a play with some eventing too... we will see! :D

Take new pony to hunt meet down the road in March, and few local shows and Lincolnshire show in June (all in hand!)

Get rid of Trigger.

Thats it really not much for me - no proper competeing as cant afford it atm with two horses, and new pony only 3!

IF…(big IF)….the ginger one stays sound for long enough….to get back out competing again. Ultimately would really love to have another go at eventing….see I’ve written it down now I’ll have to do it. :)

Im going to try not to aim for anything long term, i think i will dissappointed otherwise.
I do want to try and learn to ride him properly, think that might help in the grand scheme of things.
The plan is to aff and be jumping 1m by summer, would love to be jumping more by the end of the year but i will play it by ear. I havent sat on him for nearly 5 weeks  so i think that will be my frist aim of 2011, to actually ride :D

I love these treads it gives us something to look forward to when we can finally get back out competing again! Obviously I want Jack and myself to stay sound happy and healthy but my competitive aims for 2011 are:

To get placed at the Blue Chip Champs (Maybe even win I would love a rug!.....but that could be dreaming)
To qualify for the Discovery final at Scope
Compete in some Newcomers regionals for experience
Gain my Fox DC's for 2012
I would love to attempt a HOYS Grade C qualifier but that might have to wait for next year :)

They might seem very ambitious but i believe you have to aim high, you never know what might happen over the year i would be happy to acheive any one of the above.

Good Luck to everyone in 2011 :) Here's to a good year ahead

Mainly i'd like to have a year without having to make lots of trips to the vets, and perhaps just have the vet out for routine visits but I doubt very much whether that will happen, but fingers crossed.

Competition wise I'm aiming for my first BE event, only the BE80, in May and would like to complete that successfully. Then see how the season plans out and whether my confidence over jumps can improve enough to move up to the BE90.

Maybe also compete on the riding club novice teams.

Training wise, I aim to get the pony more amenable to dressage rather than wanting to jump the white boards and squealing his way through tests with excitement. He can squeal all he likes but I would like some softness and less bounce!

To get some points at PSG, to get two time changes established and to get him doing full canter pirouettes. Otherwise to keep him sound, to get him back to the UK in one piece in the summer and to find a good yard when I come back.

Not as good as most of you. But would be happy to just have fun at my local riding clubs doing sj and dr maybe even a bit of showing as I think it is so educational for a young horse.

But after last year having to give it all up because of my replacement ankle just to have fun would be enough

Hopefully if all goes to plan,

affiliate my new horse to BSJA and aim to do some British Novice and Discovery classes, he has only ever been to 6 shows and he is 12 :/

and get a reserve/champion in novice horse working hunters :)

I am doing my B+E test in january so i can take myself places, having just switched my car for a 4x4. It was my intention to do it this year, but the 15 january will have to suffice!

I am still trying to decide what kind of focus to have, as my mare is just 6 at the moment. I am not sure whether to continue to have a bit of fun at everything (dressage, jumping, sponsored rides). or whether to go more seriously into endurance riding or showjumping.

with current frozen paddock not much is getting done, and the summer just seemed to pass me by with not much happening other than a couple of local shows. so i intend to make the most of my riding this year, starting with a proper riding schedule/ fittening programme in the new year.. then off we go! in my new 4x4 :)

Ditto this!!!
Everything else seems a million miles away right now :(

With these peeps, even just being able to ride currently seems like a long term goal ;)

Agree with Only Me, don't want to make plans they invariably go awry.

So I think just to be able to do more this year than last and hope that the rock solid ground we experienced last summer does not scupper plans this year :)

Whilst we wait for the big thaw Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!:D

My aims for me and Handy... hmm...

To continue to grow as a partnership and have lots of fun!
To compete successfully in showing with a view to Racehorse to riding horse classes in 2012.
To take him showjumping and try our hand at Jumpcross!

to get ashley in the top 10 of a BE 100
we would of finished 13th in a BE 90 this year if i could count properly and jump all the XC fences!!
he is only 6 and has so much scope.. sooo... will see what it brings

atm... a bit of warmth would be nice!!

I've just affiliated autumn BS so were going to see how we progress with that. Also my dad has very kindly offered to pay BE membership fee's so we'll do a bit of xc schooling in the spring and take the plunge! Very very grateful as I wouldnt have been able to afford to do it otherwise!

To have 6 happy, healthy, sound horses, and to have lots and lots of fun with them and as much competing as possible....

I shall be very happy with that and anything extra will be a bonus!! :D
