2025 foals

After a horrible day yesterday, it was lovely to wake yo to the news that Amber’s foal has been born. (She’s on broodmare loan to a friend) Meet Romeo, by Cappa Sarsfield.

And Myka’s full sister was also born last night. Mylo has been keeping mum company as they bonded well but is now surplus to requirements so I’m picking him up soon.

for a minute there I'd thought they were twins!! 😍

Those legs are almost as long as Amber's!

I think it's lovely she's taken to broodmare so well - all boys so far isn't it?
Yes 3 colts in a row. Still waiting for my buckskin filly :D
She is so happy as a broodmare. Much less grumpy and more affectionate than she ever used to be. Even when she was just a field ornament. Those pregnancy hormones blissing her out!

Still waiting on my mare, 332+ days today. Been bagging up for 7 weeks now, but definitely some progress in the udder department over the last week or so.

With her being a maiden I'm not sure how much notice I'm going to get from her.. but I feel like the teats are starting to point more outwards, and today she had the teeniest (literally just a smidge) amount of yellow/orange crust on one of her udders? Not sure if I'm kidding myself into seeing signs that aren't there though, this is my first foal so the anticipation might be making me crazy 😅

I’d say you still had a bit to go, though my maiden foaled on a similar bag so do keep watching!
