2025 predictions

We have less than a 23 days left of this year so What’s your 2025 predictions. It can be horse related or non horse related , personal whatever you want . I think it fun to look back on predictions and see what we guessed correctly .

I predict I will have more vets bills

I predict there will be another international equestrian welfare/social licence outrage

I predict the US will become actively involved in a war they should stay out of

I predict more climate change related weather shenanigans.

Everything else in my life is so vague that it’s not worth predicting!

I predict I will have loads of great plans, including to get organised, and have the best of intentions to do them all, and in a year's time, I'll read this and think "oops, I forgot I was going to do all those things"...

I predict I'm going to have a great year taking my two babies out to shows. They will be two next summer. They will be very silly and we will have a lovely time. Just need to find someone local to come and help me as they will be in the same classes. I predict I will continue to get absolutely nowhere with my now 8 year old buckskin who will continue to be spooked by the slightest little thing and is quite frankly irrational.

I predict I will lose the will to live a bit more as we have more extreme weather and a complicated, falling down house set up that I can never see us escaping

I predict that the horse who wins the Grand National will have a name that begins with a B.

It could be his stable name though

I predict I will have another horse, likely to be bay given this is the most popular colour. Around 16.3hh, 10 years of age, properly vetted this time with a decent vet and not sold to me by an unscrupulous owner.

I will continue my weight loss journey, getting to my target weight by the start of June!

I will hopefully be out competing by this point too. Slowly but surely gaining confidence.

I am hoping I either get an extension of my existing job but with this meaning I am 100% busier than I am now, or I secure a possible 56 week contract with a new contract I'm waiting to hear about which starts next Spring. I really need more money than I'm on now as I had a 9k drop.

Above all I hope Mum and my partner and myself are well and in good health and Lari and Summer are still about.

I hope I am not being too greedy with my list.

Well I never could have predicted the complete sh1tshow that 2024 has been for me personally and still no let up. No idea what 2025 will bring, I can but hope for a bit of a reprieve.

Globally I predict more war, more climate crises, Trump doing Trumpesque stuff that results in a lot of threads on here.

Horse-wise I predict more scandal in the equestrian world, more public outcry, a review of Olympic equestrian sport, and people who I used to respect coming out with a load of tripe about how nothing needs to change.

Other than that, I can't think of a single positive prediction to make. Maybe I'll look back at this next year and be delighted that I was wrong on all counts.

Power back finally. Managed to get the boiler working again eventually too. No internet though which didn't help my heating system and probably why the boiler wouldn't come on.

Barely phone signal but getting a very slow connection. At least I can read random pages .


Can't wait for this weekend to be done. I'm tired

I also predict that I will sell my rising 4yr old next spring for a fabulous price which will enable me to keep the rising 5 yr old

I'm a bit afraid to predict anything for next year, I'm hoping it will be better than the last 2 years.

I'd love to predict that I get my young horse up and going and get to enjoy him. So here's hoping
