Amber has been a bit reluctant to eat over the past couple of days, she is on burns puppy bites fed dry twice a day.

I tried wetting the food and she ate it straight away last night, but won't touch it this morning.

She is well in herself and full of life as usual, worming up to date, drinking well etc...any ideas why she is doing this?

Is anything come out of the other end, without meaning to be indelicate?

I'd ring the vet for advice, myself.

She's pooing absolutely fine, I took her for a short walk early morning then retried feeding her, she had a few mouthfuls (she's basically trying to eat anything except her food!).

Spoke to the vets just now and they advised it may well be due to the heat, and to perhaps try adding a wet food/tuna to see if it perks up her appetite

Sounds like a fussy eater to me! If she's fine in herself, no vomiting or diarrhoea and a good weight I'd be inclined to take the food away if she won't eat it. See how she goes with the wet food and tuna but be careful she doesn't start dictating what she wants to eat. I've known people who have gone to lengths to make their dog eat and end up forking out loads for mash and steak because that's "all it will eat"! Oh and they hand feed it too!

Think it must have been the heat, as she's now back to eating normally :), i gradually 'weaned' her off the tuna in her food over a few days, and at mealtimes make a point of getting her to work for her food - ie making her sit quietly, give paw etc and seems to be working well
