Bear in mind how some horses can be shaken up by this. I got a horse and the first day we had it, it reared up and bolted off but within about 3 months it had become incredibly docile. If the owner agreed though it should be fine, but don't be horribly put off by any disruptive behavior you may come across- take it with a large pinch of salt!
