A big thank you to everyone who replied to my post yesterday about the 3.5ton for 25k. I have had a look at the malborough website and a few others and it looks like I do not have to spend anywhere near that amount.
My dad does motorhomes so one option is that we use one of his chasis and get a local company to build one for us. If anyone knows of a good horsebox builder in the lancs area please let me know. Many Thanks

Didn't see you're original post but I got my 3.5 tonne lorry, brand new with brand new chassy etc and built to our spec, for 28k
Have since seen identical lorries with older chassies for around the 12k mark
Must say having done some market research, we were seriously ripped off - but wouldn't change my lorry for the world now!

There's one in runcorn can't quite remember name ..foxleigh or foxes or something like that. no experience of them personnally but others have said they are good

richard wilkinson coachbuilders are excellent based near chorley. he built Jordan's (Katie Price) lorry. Solitaire Horseboxes dont do 3.5 tonners. Highwood horseboxes are excellent, based in yorkshire.

Just for comparison. Mine is a 3.5 tonne Renault Master. Newly converted on a 2003 chasis with 78,000 miles on the clock and cost me £17,000 in October last year. Its from Northern Horseboxes in Darlington.
