28 YR OLD MARE LOGISTICS FOR FRIDAY

Great work guys. Can someone please poke me to donate on Friday (pay day)? If I do it now it won't go through due to insufficient funds :(

What a great bunch of people there are on this forum. Please give yourselves a huge pat on the back. I myself had my old boy PTS on Monday and I'm crying my eyes writing this. The owner of that poor old lady needs to named and shamed nasty hateful old cow, I cant print what I really think of her though!.:(

This is just brilliant.... And as a contingency if any transport falls through let me know. I'm sure my mum will lend me her horsebox in an Emergency - it could do with a run :-)
Has anyone told Dejavue not to bid.... They've go gone noticeably quiet since the other thread?

Crikey, you guys are absolute legends. Off to JG for £ now.

Looking forward to knowing she is safe and sound. All those foals, and one on the vaulting team - wow! Sounds like she has been a good servent to someone, good to know she'll get a safe retirement to be proud of.

Just reading this thread, and would like to congratulate everyone involved in one way or another for being so, well, amazing.
I wish you all the very best of luck, and mega more luck for Rosie, and hope that the right person secures her.
I am so sorry, I can't donate this time, but my fingers will be crossed, and my thoughts with all on friday.

A full report on Friday evening is a must.

im actually sat here balling my eyes out. what absolutely bloody wonderful people there are on here. BEST of luck in getting her. will donate for you x

God, well done to all of you! This is such a heartwarming thread.

Keeping all fingers and toes crossed for wee Rose on friday, bless her.

I dont post on here very often but I would just like to say what a lovely thing you are all doing. I occasionally go to the horse sale and spotted her advertised in the catalogue so was trying to get a day off work.
If anything falls through I would be delighted to take her on and give her a forever home, im only 40 minutes away from York and unfortunately last week I had to have my old faithful horse put to sleep so im looking for a companion for my 27year old Fell pony. Im happy to pay for her and she'll be spoilt rotten for the rest of her days

Dont want to mess with the plans, BUT would this not be a perfect home for her. Its what the charity would be likely to re-home her to. To secure her future we could still buy her and take her back to Leeds. But before the poor old girl faces a long journey south could the charity not do a home visit on Kiss22 and then she could be delivered to her from Leeds. I would be happy to do that. Her future would be secure as she would still belong to the charity.

Just a thought

Would this not be the ideal solution?

The money raised could be used to help other horses?

Ideal, TBH.

Can you mention this on the FB Page to Elaine at EMW?

I am so please everything is underway and the future looks brighter for this old girl.
This could save a lot of upheaval for her,at 28 she is going to be vulnerable, to move her several times in a week could do more harm than good and she still needs a permanent home at the end of it all .
This offer of what sounds like a very suitable home should be looked into, I feel it could be kinder than transporting her around the country.

after the thread slating the forum the other day this just goes to show there are decent hho'ers left hanging around :D
tbh i didn't think much would come of it, just another upset post about an oldie being passed on, but lo and behold there's been a 'movement' to help out the old girl :D
*cheers*

Great stuff everyone.

Has anyone found out any details of why she is being put through the ring or who?? Just thought maybe someone could approach the owner in a reasonable and sensible manner and buy her before she goes into the sales ring?

I have made a donation via the website - with the caveat that should it not pay for Rosie or her upkeep it will go to another horse.

otherwise will be keeping my fingers crossed for Friday.

I don't visit HHO very often but I am glad to see that so many HHOer's working together in aid of horse welfare.

I just want to say good luck to all involved, and well done all of you!!

And.. i hope all that love to slag off certain members on this forum, remember this thread!
