Vets have finally released my big boy, all be it on bail with strict conditions, after an eternity on box rest with an inferior hind check gone.

We have walked him in hand but had setbacks with sore feet, laminitis scare and finally on Thursday he was rude and knocked my friend into the ditch.

Please excuse the wonky clip, it was a quick job when we had our annual summer back in February and he was getting very hot agitated. He has changed shape a little and has developed a lump of muscle under his neck from pulling at tricklenets. But who cares, this was one happy jail break horse !

I just hope his leg is stone cold and tight at evening stables. There will be big tears and tantrums if it's not.

Wow that's one handsome horse; just my type! I haven't followed your story but have to say that I'd never had contemplated that long box rest with my horse (he wouldn't have tolerated it) so big congratulations to you on your determination and commitment to getting your horse right again. Fingers crossed it all stays on the up for you both :)

Anglebones, firstly thankyou. Leg cool, hard and the little darling has just begged me to take him for another walk. We are not out of the woods just yet, but I ain't giving up on him !!

If you would like to see the real horse have a look on the thread titled 'Midnight Ramblers' there is a picture or two of him at his height of competing.

Nice horse - as you can see from my siggy my type of horse.
