28th Racing

I know what a ring bit is having previously worked in industry but I personally do not count those as the same thing - especially as the most common chifney, except those in the Tattersalls ring style, have a shaped mouth pieces whereas the Dexter ring bit is a circular shape like the Tattersalls - except that one brand that uses a straight edge along the mouthpiece but once again brain fog means I can’t remember who makes it 🤦🏻‍♀️

Either way the information she gave was incorrect as it would imply the horse would be racing wearing the chifney along with the loose ring in the style of a ring bit which the horse didn’t.

I think it was Adele Mulrennan (sp?), it’s not the first time she’s called equipment the wrong thing.
I'm not wanting to start an argument here but I do think that it's a bit unfair, under the circumstances, towards Adele, or whoever it was, as she would have been viewing from a distance and pushed for time talking about the individual horses. You would have to be taking particular notice of a horse to clock if a separate chifney came off for the race. A 'Ring bit ' could easily be a generic term used by many people for different types of them, afterall, you did say ' I personally '.

Was at Newbury for the Challow, the place was utterly rammed with people and they ran out of race cards!! Could not get near the betting ring and the queues of people at the Tote outlets had to be seen to be believed. I wanted to place an each way bet on Wendigo as I have 2 shares in him, second at 25.1 would been a nice payout!!
There was some exciting racing including a short head photo finish.

They did say how big the crowd was. Loads up on last year. Didn’t realise Wendigo was a group horse. Cracking run.

My brother has had a share in Wendigo for a while now and kept saying how highly the horse is thought of... After his performance in the Challow I took now have a share 😂 I'm not sure he's got the sparkle of a top class horse but he will certainly be interesting to follow.

One of my OG horses is entered at my nearest course on New Year's Day so I've booked tickets to go directly via the racecourse as they were so cheap. My other OG horse is on holiday after a couple of duff runs...
