Just been reading on my vets web that they recomend the 2nd jab is given between 4 and 6 weeks.

As my little girl is poorly, I think caused by the 1st flu jab, i really want to wait till about day 85.

Anyone got any comments?

We squeezed ours in fine on one of the last days and the vet said it was fine :) hope she recovers and the next one isn't as bad!

Stupid question alert sorry... does she HAVE to have the second jab?

If I wasnt planning on taking her to any shows I think I would be tempted to give the second a miss if I think the first one caused a problem

I am leaving my youngster until later on in the time frame too with regards to her second course of flu (she will be getting combined flu and tet). She was under the weather after her first jab so I have been including a supplement in her feed for her immune system, so I'm giving her as much time as possible to pick up before the next lot. It really took a lot out of her but have been recommended second lot now, by various people including vet, and her breeder said she has come across reactions very regularly in their breed (she is a PRE). Hopefully won't knock her sideways as much as the first one did.

No WelshD - your input was greatfully received - as i may discuss with vet and see if we can do anything - ie re-start next year but then she will end up having 4 if you know what i mean.

Mine had the combined flu and tet 1st - so i am hopeful she wont react as badly.

I really hate these jabs, i am hearing more and more reactions - but i suppose i am looking for others that have had the same.
