Sorry, another "how much" post! I am debating selling my dressage saddle as it doesnt really suit my horse. How much would a Jaguar XKC sell for second hand (or how much should I ask?!). Its in good condition, black, 17.5" Medium Buffalo leather. Thanks

perhaps take it to a local saddler to 'value' for you.

Unfortunately, you tend to make a big loss on second hand saddles, and recoup less than half their original value.

However, yours is quite "specialist", so you may get a decent amount??

Ditto getting your saddler to value it, but if they take it to sell on your behalf, they will take a rather large percentage of it!!
another option is that you may also be able to trade it in against the value of a new saddle???

I will give my saddler a call but as you say, I dont want to sell it through them as they will take a huge percentage and feel they may not be so helpful if there is nothing in it for them. I dont really want to p- ex it as I will be looking for a saddle of similar value to whatever I get for this one.
I am hoping to get somewhere in the region of £750 do you think this is unreasonable?
