2nd place in our first attempt at a Novice test!

And 2nd in the Prelim 14 too

At the riding club show yesterday, there were not many in the classes however

there were 6 in the Prelim 14 and i scored 65% which was an improvement on the first Prelim 14 test i did back in June so was pleased with that

Only 4 in the Novice 28, and by this time i was getting a bit nervous as people were looking way better than me!

And we hadn't been too hot at the canter loops in our lesson on Saturday!

but we managed them, didn't break into trot and didn't feel too ugly

scored 61% with 2nd place which i was quite pleased with, having only ever done 6 Prelim classes before deciding to have a bash at a Novice!

Our comments weren't too bad, he kept going a bit hollow in the Novice test especially in transistions, think possibly because i did more warm up than i planned to and he was getting a little bored, they were running later than i realised.

He is going to have to be clipped this weekend though i think!

Bit sweaty both days!

Also i watched the Novice 25 and decided that maybe Novice tests aren't that scary after all?

Just seem to have medium trot, medium canter and a few 'different' canter moves?

Haha i don't know!

I'm not sure we are capable of more than Novice standard for now, but maybe in a years time might be able to move up a level again!

My aim would be to get to Medium eventually...... quite a few years from now that is though i think!

So 'eventually' being the key word there!

Was a good day! Not sure i'm brave enough to try Novice 28 at Stilebridge however, i may just stick to Prelims there for a little while longer!
